Associate Superintendent for Vancouver School Board
An exciting opportunity for an exceptional educational leader to join an exciting new team
As one of three Associate Superintendents and a member of the Senior Management team, you will work with school and district leaders in providing excellence in public education.
You will report to the Superintendent of Schools and work alongside other senior staff members to support the educational programs that support student learning and the district. Putting particular focus on building organizational leadership and system capacity, you will use your significant expertise gained from senior leadership experience to implement key priorities, strategies and directions emanating from the district’s Strategic Plan. You will provide leadership to many exceptional district programs and work with Learning and Schools Services to support and enable practices to improve student engagement and success for all learners.
A Master’s degree in leadership, administration, curriculum or a related field, as well as eligibility for membership in the BC Teacher Regulation Branch positions you for consideration in this pivotal role. You have extensive leadership experiences within diverse cultural, social, and economic environments and possess strong knowledge and skill in the use of technology to support research, teaching and learning. Finally, your deep understanding of the major issues and trends facing public education in the context of Metro Vancouver and British Columbia will contribute to your success in this role.
