Corporate Controller (Victoria)

The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) is looking for a highly motivated and deadline-driven Corporate Controller to lead the seven member Finance team in our Victoria Head Office.

Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will manage the LTSA’s accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis functions. This position has responsibility for the LTSA’s financial systems, including management of all aspects of the organization’s cash receipts, cash disbursements, banking and investments, payroll, capital assets, contract administration, management reporting and analysis, budgeting, and internal and external financial reporting requirements. This is an integral management position providing confidential accounting support and advice to business unit managers and executives in financial matters, including collective bargaining, capacity planning, business development, and information technology project initiatives.

With a team approach and a customer service focus, the Corporate Controller leads the seven-member team in delivering efficient and effective financial services in a deadline-driven environment.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred);

·       CPA (CA, CMA or CGA);

·       A minimum of 10 years’ experience at a management level, preferably with Big 4 public accounting background;

·       A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Corporate Controller;

·       Experience in a high transaction volume environment with sophisticated customer facing financial systems.
