The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) has a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced Director of Finance to join their Finance team in Victoria, BC. The ideal candidate has experience in a high transaction volume industry has worked as a Controller for a public company, and is looking to further develop their career in an organization that promotes innovation and personal growth.
The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) is a publicly accountable, statutory corporation with a unique governance structure responsible for administering the land title and survey systems in BC. Together with its wholly-owned subsidiary, LandSure Systems Limited, the business runs approximately 4 million transactions per year and has top line receipts of $100m. The result is a complex corporate structure with a large number of outside stakeholders and all the demands of a quarterly external financial reporting cycle.
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance will lead a seven-member Finance team in delivering efficient and effective financial services and manage the LTSA’s accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis functions. This position is responsible for the LTSA’s financial systems, including management of all aspects of the organization’s cash receipts, cash disbursements, banking and investments, payroll, capital assets, contract administration, management reporting and analysis, budgeting, and internal and external financial reporting requirements.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred);
· CPA (CA, CMA or CGA);
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience at a management level, preferably with Big 4 public accounting background;
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Director of Finance;
· Experience in a high volume environment with sophisticated customer facing financial systems.
